چکیده
The presented study analyzed the inheritance via heterosis of interspecific F1 hybrids between durum and bread wheat over better parents ratios dominance for spike-related traits affecting their productivity transmission to future segregating populations. research transpired in crop seasons 2017–-2019 at Institute Molecular Biology Biotechnologies, Azerbaijan National Academy Sciences, Baku, Azerbaijan. hybridization program used eight (Triticum Desf) genotypes, i.e., Shark, Karabagh, Barakatli-95, Tartar, Garagilciıg-2, Vugar, Mirbashir- 50, Shiraslan-23, 13 (T. aestivum L.) cultivars, viz., Mirbashir-128, Kyrmyzygul-1, Gobustan, Layaqatli, Kyzyl Bughda, Gunashli, Taleh-38, Sheki-1, Murov, Nurlu-99, Aran, two foreign cultivars Bezostaya-1 (Russia) Dagdash (Turkey) generate 24 hybrids. Studying degree these compared performance with parental genotypes traits, spike length, spikelets per spike, grains grain weight spike. In hybrids’ evaluation, recorded desirable positive appeared cross combinations, Barakatli-95 × Karabagh Sheki-1 Murov Daghdash, Nurlu-99 Gobustan Mirbashir-50 Shiraslan-23 traits. However, hybrid Garabagh revealed negative depression yield-related

Effects of post-anthesis heat stress and nitrogen levels on grain yield in wheat (T. durum and T. aestivum) genotypes
In order to study the effects of post-anthesis heat stress and nitrogen levels on grain yield and yield components of wheat genotypes, two separate field experiments were conducted in delayed and optimum sowing dates under Ahvaz conditions (2006-2007). The Ahvaz site located in south west of Iran (32°20' N, 40°20' E) with subtropical climate condition. The experiment site had a moderate w...
متن کاملCytological characteristics of F2 hybrids between Triticum aestivum L. and T. durum Desf. with reference to wheat breeding.
Cytological and agronomic characteristics of a F2 population from Triticum aestivum L. x T. durum Desf. hybrids were analyzed plant by plant. Means of morphologic traits in the F2 population were similar to those of the low-value parent. On average, F2 hybrids had 36.54 chromosomes per plant, indicating that each gamete lost 2.73 chromosomes at meiosis of the F1 generation. More than half of pl...
متن کاملMolecular cloning and characterization of cm3 gene, from t. Aestivum and t. Durum genome
Alpha-amylase inhibitors from wheat are found noble sources to develop insect resistant transgenic plants. Thus far wheat alpha – amylase inhibitor genes have been cloned, sequenced and characterized by various researchers through cDNA library. A subunit of tetrameric alpha amylase CM3 gene was isolated and characterized directly from genomes of different Indian wheat varieties using PCR approa...
متن کاملvariation of seed dormancy and after-ripening in tetraploid wheat (triticum durum, t. turgidum, t. turanicum, t. carthlicum, t. polonicum)
in western canada, durum wheat cultivars (triticum durum) have low to moderate lev-els of seed dormancy and are susceptible to pre-harvest sprouting. the aim of this study was to evaluate the dormancy level of canadian durum wheat cultivars and to identify tetraploid wheat accessions with elevated levels of seed dormancy. first, the level of seed dormancy and length of after-ripening of 17 nort...
متن کاملTransfer of Soft Kernel Texture from Triticum aestivum to Durum Wheat, Triticum turgidum ssp. durum
Durum wheat (Triticum turgidum ssp. durum) is a leading cereal grain whose primary use is the production of semolina and pasta. Its rich culinary relationship to humans is related, in part, to its very hard kernel texture. This very hard texture is due to the loss of the Puroindoline genes that were eliminated during the allopolyploid formation of T. turgidum approximately 0.5 million years ago...
